How to Determine the Generator Size You Need

To calculate your power needs:

  1. Add up the wattage of all equipment (lights, cameras, sound, etc.)

  2. Multiply by 1.25 for a safe buffer

  3. Divide total watts by 1,000 to get kilowatts (kW)

Still unsure? Our team at Platinum Media Concepts offers power needs assessments for any production or event. We’ll help you match the right generator size and ensure smooth, uninterrupted service.
